Re: I would like Tamiya to make...

How about a MFC-03 that you can download any sound into it depending on what truck you have and the type of enjoy sounds you'd like it to have for the era of the truck and motor choice as well as air...

Re: DX7 throttle set up

My question would be is he double pumping the brake/reverse. If he's only pulling down once it's only going to brake, it needs to go back to neutral then back down for reverse.

Re: mfu problem

If you are comfortable cutting and soldering you can buy servo extensions from your local hobby shop or online and I believe Astec out of the UK makes extensions for the MFC lights if not I'm sure...

Re: Confused looking for US Made Axles

Front axles and airbags are made by Russ here on the board. Check out his site: truescale-rc.com Bullbars I've never seen but I'm sure one of our fine vendors on here could do up one for you. As...

Re: Lipo charging device question

In this hobby I have a few things that I don't cheap out on and one of them is a charger as it's something you don't want to replace that often and the better the charger the better they care for...

Re: Lipo charging device question

All depends on your budget and the type of batteries you are charging.

Re: Lipo charging device question

Also if you don't have a charger that will do 200w or more then it's not worth it.

Re: spectru radio

Just from a quick read looks like the gen 2 has all the telemetry stuff which is why it is more.

Re: Road train lighting

If you look up the part number for the optocoupler you ordered you'll be able to find a data sheet which will give you a schematic and pin layout.

As for the Bluetooth still functioning as I said...

Re: Road train lighting

I do agree with you about the sstronix being better for the most part but the small size of the OB1 is the reason I've used on my RC4wd lowboy and stretched bruder drop deck. Plus it would be hard...

Re: Blue tooth truck and trailer lighting from OB1

No it doesn't actually operate the legs. What it does with the built into programming is turns the clearance lights off and sets the 4ways when the landing gear is put into the down position.

Re: Road train lighting

You can get a stand alone OB1 that doesn't use the MFC to control it. It just gets wired between your RX and servo's. So with a couple of y-harnesses you should be able to hook everything up.

Re: morepower valve body

The rx doesn't drop the voltage down usually. For the most part it's the ESC that drops the voltage down from the 12v to 4.8v to 6v depending on how it's setup internally or programmed.

Older...

Re: Road train lighting

I use a AQV201 for my builds when I need one.

Another option if you don't mind paying a little more is looking at something like the OB1 system for the MFC. It plugs into where the trailer lights...

Re: Road train lighting

Each output of the opto coupler has the 50mA max. So the safest would be to splice it into the first trailer then run things back to the second trailer and dolly. Also you don't really need a 7.2v...

Re: Road train lighting

Just keep in mind that it only has 50mA max output per channel. So a couple of LED's and you are at the max.

Re: Road train lighting

You would need one opto coupler for each function. So in total you'd need 3.

Re: Question about Spectrum DX9 Radio

There's no worry anymore about using aircraft radio's for surface stuff anymore with 2.4ghz. There's no way of controlling someone else aircraft miles away since the radio and receiver lock into...

Re: Project "Gin Hauler"

If you have room for it or can hide it somewhere your best bet is a servo winch. It will out do the RC4WD by a ton and depending on what one you get some have a freespool feature. So instead of...

No problem. I find the zoom room tends to be about the only one in Ontario that actually carries a decent amount. Pinnacle in Markham has some as well as advanced in Scarborough but still nothing...

Re: Trailer parts

Reg has a good point there too. Actually seeing you are in Ontario you can pick up a pole trailer from the zoom room in Newmarket for $230cdn. Keep what you need and sell off what you don't.
