Re: Liebherr LTM 1055 S-4 in scale 1/24
At 1/24 scale I realize that you're not going to be lifting any thing heavy. Will the gearbox drag be enough to hold the load when doing a lift? Will the boom extend/retract be manual like the...

I got the truck around Christmas time at Theisen's, which is a farm supply store here in Eastern Iowa.
I'll check when I get home tonight to see if I can find a name & model number on the thing....

Re: Back to the Fifties

Re: Back to the Fifties
Some of the farm stores around here have some 1/18-ish sorta Bruder trucks that are about the right size. I've got a tilt-back roll-off wrecker that the WPL axles and wheels are a fairly good fit...

Re: Shovel mechanics
Yeah, Home Model Engine Machinist is another good site.
HMEM (https://www.homemodelenginemachinist.com/)
I think HMEM was one of the first model engineering sites that I found.

Re: Wooldridge 1940s Bottom-Dump Truck
I had to replace the pivot screws for the auger, I had lost 2 of the originals. Most of the units you see listed have this same problem. I did keep the original self-tapping screws and if I can...

Re: 1/10 Caterpillar D8T Build (3D Printed)
I found some 10mm motors with planetary gearboxes that I will be using to extend the stabilizers on my Manitou 2150, I think they are 300rpm. (There are listings similar to the gearboxes I got on...

If you have the limits installed, I'd be very interested in seeing how you...
