Hmmm was not a fan of the lipo shutoff as I had read on other newsgroups it does not play friendly with the MFU's own low voltage cut off.
I opted for the plug in LiPo alarm as below:...

Yes, I have found the Airtronics RDS8000 a great radio, works perfectly with the Tamiya MFU, the only complaint I had was the poor battery life of the supplied NiCd.
Swapped him out for a 2800maH...
