A muffler or for that matter, anything beyond the exhaust port of the head, would not duplicate a particular sound.
A major hurdle is 2 stroke vs 4 stroke. I wish you the best of luck.

I built a timer circut for my motorcycle stop lamp that when actvated, the stop lamp blinks 3 times and then goes steady. I used a radio shack generic board and a socket for the timer chip.

In trying to follow this thread and learn, I did not know what a tapper was.
I searched online for a definition of 'tapper' some were 'a crazy person or a machine that taps multiple holes' etc.

Thanks for sharing this. I was building award winning 1/12 scale buildings until it was no fun anymore. I felt guilty about stopping. I'm glad I did.
