Re: Help

I would suspect that the vibration weight has moved or wasn't put on right and is rubbing either the plastic case or the metal mount. As for the turn signals are you sure it's an 01 and not an 03? ...

Re: Lipo care and use question

Either or will work Mario. Cycling them a few times either with the charger or by using them is always a good idea after having them sit so long.

Re: Carson steering arm

They are only used for the Euro style trucks to clear under the transmission. Not really designed for the American trucks.

Re: futaba am radio

I'm pretty sure the issue isn't with the 2.4ghz radio not working with the MFU but more that most 2.4ghz radios come with digital trims which don't play well with the MFU. When I got back in and...

Re: a little dx9 help

You should always recalibrate your ESC's to the new radio and once all the calibrating is done for all trucks and all servos and everything then rebind the radio's to the RX's. With the spectrum...

Re: Drop Axle

You do realize they do go into an order cue and then have to be made right? So you could have one or one hundred orders ahead of you. It's not like they have them sitting there ready to ship out.

Re: J12 plug on mfc-01

No damage all it does is put the truck into a "towing" mode and always thinking it has a trailer on and the MFC put out more. A lot of guys do it. You just loose the coupling noise if you do remote...

Re: Need help with Tactic TTX650...

Have you calibrated the ESC to the radio? Stick in center/neutral and then go through the setup procedure in the ESC instructions? If you have then keep in mind this ESC has a double pump reverse...

Re: Lipo - to convert or not to convert?

The only real con is if you don't handle them with care they can bite in you in the butt but so can nimh's. From racing over the years I've seen more then a few nimh and nicd blow a cell and send...

Re: Need help with Tactic TTX650...

I did reply to your build thread but will reply here as well now that I know what ESC it is. First question would be did you calibrate the ESC to the radio. Second is did you ever have reverse at...

Re: My first build

If you've never been able to get the ESC to go into reverse it may be in race mode. Which will only allow you to have brakes and no reverse. You'll have to program it to have reverse. Which ESC do...

Re: stupid question....

Voltage doesn't make it run longer, voltage makes it go faster. It's the mAh(capacity) that you want higher to have the truck run longer.

Re: custom aluminum & steel tamiya wheels

What about set of scale super singles drive wheels? I know no one actually makes the tire but isn't too hard to cut 2 tires to make one. The hard part would be the wheel itself.

Re: Clean & Mean Grand Hauler Build

So any luck in figuring out if the full fenders can be used without issue with the motorized leg kit?

The only thing I think that it is missing is the new 5th wheel servo mount that looks like a...

Re: Tri-Axle Set-up Help

The way Joe does it is by using the same plate as the tandem axle set but instead of the leaf spring he uses another set of arms turned up side down and a hole drilled in the plate so the axle sits...

Re: Grand Hauler on The Shelf

I totally understand that some sellers out of Hong Kong will have them already. I was just stating that with that particular link the ad says available early march. I wouldn't want someone to order...

Re: Grand Hauler on The Shelf

Actually if you read the ad, it states it'll be available early march. So they are doing a pre-sale on it before they even have it in their hands.

Re: What happened here design

They used that same IH cab in the movie real steel. First time I saw one and thought it was an interesting looking truck.

Re: You can stop building trucks now, Tamiya Grand Hauler.

I agree I was thinking the same thing after watching the video. Maybe on smooth flat ground it's fine but going up and down driveways or say at a show where there's a bridge or something it will hit...

Re: You can stop building trucks now, Tamiya Grand Hauler.

Like any other kit you will need to supply that yourself. It's just the truck.

Re: Nimh or Lipo for King hauler?

For me it's lipo. They hold a better charge, take a charge better and don't form a memory like nimh batteries do. But if you are using lipo's you need to either have an ESC with a lipo cutoff built...

Re: You can stop building trucks now, Tamiya Grand Hauler.

Or just go with a wireless kit like SS-Tronix and then you don't have to worry about that big bulky trailer piece that Tamiya uses for the motorized leg kit.

Re: Blown MFC? Another head scratcher

You do realize Tamiya would've fixed it for probably nothing. There's pretty much a lifetime warranty on them.

Re: bigfords trucks

Yes you can. But depending on how much current is being pulled I would suggest ditching the Tamiya connector for a better quality.
