It it so much simpler when you don't have to "recreate the wheel" isn't it...
It adds a nice touch to RC truck events when there is something different to see...

Those wheels look a little more "period" ... and lowering it would help the look too I think those shackles make it sit up pretty high

Looks like a fun build, so it's already RC ??? Are you just going to use the running gear that's in it and just upgrade what needs to be upgraded..??

That's the way I finish 3d printed stuff....It takes a lot of time and patience which is why I don't print to many things that need that level of finish work LOL....

Great pictures, do they have spectators at that show or is it just kind of for the hobbyists.
I'm lovn that B series Mack....I have an STL I bought off Cults for one, just haven't done it yet....

The string is just cotton string it's pretty flexible but it's just for testing I have some black Kevlar string I'll use...

OK don't judge the operator he sucks....
First time outside in the dirt, it was really humid and everything seem to "stick" so it's not very smooth ..

OK, I changed the rigging, this is more inline with how the clipper was cabled, still not exact but getting closer
I moved the boom hoist out to the boom tip...

Time to figure out the cabling.... I made a pattern of sorts for a yoke to hold my boom and bucket sheaves, it's pretty basic since I'm not exactly sure of what I'm doing LOL...

Frizzen... I plan on a micro servo slipped in the dipper arm, I'll 3d print a latch similar to the orginal-ish and just pull it with some "cable" with either gravity or a spring to help push it back...
