Re: bigfords trucks
Then if they are the same just take a red wire out of one of them then. Doesn't really matter which one.

Re: bigfords trucks
If both are being used on the same RX then one of them needs to have the red wire pulled. I would recommend using whatever ESC has the better BEC to power the RX and servo and pull the wire on the...

Re: adding weight for more traction?
Aluminum wheels will give you weight over the stock plastic, and I'm assuming you want traction when not pulling a trailer so I would suggest ditching the stock tires if you already haven't and going...

Re: Esc's
ESC = electronic speed controllers. As the name says they are what controls the speed of the motor depending on where your throttle is on your radio. As well as supply power to the radio gear as...

Re: Tech help needed
More then likely the red wires are pulled on purpose. ESC's are designed to apply power to the RX and the servo's. When in a situation where more then one ESC is being used you can only have one...

Re: Non Lipo friendly products?
What it is saying is voltages greater then 7.4v reduces motor life by burning out the brushes quicker. Higher voltage will create more rpm, which will create more heat from friction which of course...

Re: Non Lipo friendly products?
Usually when it states not to use lipos is because it doesn't have a cutoff built into it to avoid the battery from over discharging. The Tamiya MFC's say the same thing but I still run a lipo on...

Re: Best Battery???
Not a problem. Does the charger show the capacity that it put back into the battery? That's your best way to see how well the battery is taking a charge. How long did it take to charger?
In the...

Re: Best Battery???
Good rule I always went by was if you can hold it for minimum 10 seconds then it was good.
What is the mAh rating on the battery and the mAh rating on the charger?
Nimh batteries don't like...

Re: Best Battery???
Yeah that seems a little low. What kind of charger are you using, what current are you charging it at and how long does it usually charge and how hot does the battery get?

Re: Best Battery???
Are you running a nimh battery or lipo? And what do you consider no much run time.

Re: help please !
Short wheelbase will usually always turn better but one thing that helps all the Tamiya trucks is bending the steering rod so it doesn't hit the shock mounts and that really increases the amount of...

I tested one last night on an MFC unit and it worked fine. Not...

Yes if you check out stellamodels.net they sell a brass set. I don't think they are really all the necessary even though I've put them in a couple of trucks. Keep in mind though if you are changing...

Re: Spektrum AR610 for air only?
I've dealt with Amain for a long time and have never had a single problem. You shouldn't have any worries with them. Glad I could help.

Re: Spektrum AR610 for air only?
When it says air only it is in reference to air radio's only. They will not bind to a surface radio. So for your DX6i it will be fine.
