ReneDK:

I have been having trouble logging on to the site for about a month now. Have you been having trouble with that too?

Re: Chevy K30 U-haul Maxi-mover 1973-75

You'll find that Plastic Pooping Robots are much like cats, you don't acquire them - they acquire YOU.

A 100x100x100mm print volume is not huge, but it will serve admirably for MOST RC truck...

Re: Chevy K30 U-haul Maxi-mover 1973-75

Sorry about that, I had linked to an album that I wasn't sharing. I shared the album and redid the links. I could see the stuff, but nobody else could. See if they work for you now.

Yup, like I...

Re: Chevy K30 U-haul Maxi-mover 1973-75

I got the idea for the Rock Chow bags from the Purina Lion Chow scene in "2nd Hand Lion."

The bags are about 1"x2"x1/4"-ish, and are modeled after the old style of paper bag that was sewn shut...

Re: Chevy K30 U-haul Maxi-mover 1973-75

A rental flatbed truck could be hauling anything. Bags of stuff, cement, sand, fertilizer. etc. They aren't hard to make. Years ago one of the administrative assistants where I work had a small...

"A stack of moving boxes would be great to fill up the trucks." A color printer, some appropriately colored paper, and you can too can become a scale moving box supplier.

Re: Metal Hobi MH-245 kit as Hitachi ZX245 excavator

Paint hides many sins, or in this case different materials. Betcha the hinges on the real 1:1 scale deal are painted.

The cases/carriers look good too. A few strategically placed holes, and some...

Re: 3D Printer files for Bodies

Last night I stumbled across a link to 3D print files, some free - most for sale, at Fab365. (I was watching the build video of a 3D printed Firefly Serenity ship, but that's a tale for another...

Static paper motorcycle video

I saw this on YouTube last night. It's not RC, and it doesn't move much, but OMG the detail!

Crueby's at it again

Crueby over on the Home Engine Maker forum is at it again. This time he's building an RC 1:12 scale 19-RB. https://www.modelenginemaker.com/index.php/topic,11815.0.html

(He's normally an RC sub...

Re: Tires for conversions

I got my "narrow" tires last night, the wide tires are apparently still on a slow boat from somewhere. I originally thought these were 76mm OD tires, they aren't, they're 70mm OD. The Bruder tires...

Re: Shovel mechanics

Your math is a little off. 1 cubic yard IS 36"x36"x36", but 1/2 of a cubic yard is 18"x36"x36". 18"x18"x18" would be 1/8 of a cubic yard.

1 cubic yard is 46,656 cubic inches, so 1/2 of a cubic...

I stumbled across Lesu 1/16 scale tractor/trailer tires that LOOK to be about the right fit for Bruder conversions, 76mm OD with both "narrow" and "wide" widths available. I think the narrow tires...

Re: 1/10 caterpillar 140h motor grader 3d printed

Is there some type of bearing inside those green shells for the sprocket/axle shafts? Or are the shells 3D printed bearings?

Re: 1/10 caterpillar 140h motor grader 3d printed

How long did it take you to get the openings in the engine covers cleaned up and ready for paint? I know you've said you sand until you're happy with things, but that would have driven me bonkers.
