Re: Batterie life span.

The best NiMh packs I have ever owned came from Duratrax, and any pack that used GP or Sanyo cells. I've had mediocre luck with Traxxas packs - the ones used for the mini RC trucks. Their fullzied...

Re: Advice needed..

Jason, I would probably want my money back too. One could argue you were an uneducated buyer, who didn't ask any questions, but the seller certainly didn't give you a heads up, which is a problem...

Re: Advice needed..

I honestly didn't think such a transmission existed, but now I understand RC4WD did release a 1:1 version for their worm drive rock crawler - because all the reduction is in the axle.

Re: Hayes HD dump truck...RCP's style

Beautiful! I just noticed all the other details I somehow over looked. The radius arms for the front axle, the exhaust pipe running down and forward towards the engine, the air tanks, and plumbing....

Thanks Ken! Yes, we (I) hope!

I'll do my best. Is there a custom painter in the house? :D

Re: My new project...yes.

Nice work on painting that chassis. It turned out really nice. Air brushed, or rattle cans? I can't even tell. If it's the later, it must be Tamiya paint!

Re: Heres My New Project...Cat CT660

Pretty amazing bodywork! Hard to believe, it all started with an Aeromax, but I think you've got it! You're very talented!

Re: 1950 Kenworth Needlenose

Been working on these little buggers for a while now. I just finished soldering up the LEDs for one of the air cleaner light brackets this morning. I still have the other to do yet. It's a lesson...

Re: 1950 Kenworth Needlenose

Thank you Izzy. I'm working on it!

Thanks Neil. Yes, I have considered anodizing more than once. Especially for the for the chassis and axles. The thing that worries me about anodizing is...

Re: Hayes HD dump truck...RCP's style

The close up of your truck shows some pretty nice paint! :D You must not have used a brush or roller on that one. The finish looks great. You do alright for someone who doesn't enjoy painting. :D

Re: how would i do it?

I think you would be far better off using an electric gearhead motor, or even a servo winch. A hydraulic motor is something you aren't going to be able to build very easily. An electric gearhead...

Hello guys, thanks for the nice comments. As always it's appreciated. I know some time has passed since my last update. The truth is I got a little side tracked and lost some motivation for this...

Re: Brushless ?

There are a lot of choices out there, but because the scale semi trucks are better run at slower speeds, look into any brushless system that is designed for the RC rock crawlers. Novak has some...

Re: servo programmer

If you can find one, the HFP 20 might be worth looking into. I'm not sure if it is manufactured anymore, but there are still some new ones floating around. It's basically the predecessor to the HFP...

Re: got a question ?

That's a tough call. From my own experience, usually you can expect to loose anywhere from 25 to 50% of your money when you sell anything RC, but it really depends on the model and how badly you...

Nice and tidy. Good job on the electrical wiring. That's one thing that definitely pays off when you take your time to get it right. Looking forward to some more video!

Re: First conversion 1/16 John Deere Vintage 1947 Model G

Nice! I was thinking, steering? You could use the two drive servos to steer the tractor, and then I watched your video. The speed looks just about right. I'm thinking you're going to need to use...

Re: Hauling Dirt out of my basement (present day)

The Bell 4206 is a cool machine. Looks like it needs some help pulling the scraper though. You should hire someone to run the dozer and give it a push from the rear. :)

Re: Hayes HD dump truck...RCP's style

Reg, you are an animal! The way you crank out the models you build, no one can keep up with you. The amazing part is you still get the details too.
