Fantastic work on the dozer there Izzy! I would be proud of that too.

Too bad Tamiya RC tanks are not included. I don't have a truck yet (and at this rate probably never) but I have plenty of 1/16 RC Tamiya tanks.

I've been always leery of using brake fluid because it can react to softer types of styrene.

I've had better luck with Pine Sol, but watch the time spent in the fluid as it can heat-up and soften...

To me, not wearing safety glasses feels just as odd as not wearing a seat-belt in the car. I used to not use them very much to now I wear them all the time.

Lynn is so right... plastic compatible grease.

If in doubt I just toss them into a container full of 70% alcohol and shake, letting it sit for a few minutes then dry them out thoroughly, then...

You're right on all points but on tanks the bearings give a more precise tracking especially on the idler where track alignment is critical.

Question Steel axles?

Is there a vendor from here or in the States that sells steel axles? I bought some 20MM X 3MM off eBay and they are .06MM too large and of course, will not fit in the bearing race. :rolleyes:
