Your right, the 50s semis were a lot smaller then semis are now so I'm good...The lesu 5th wheel has the hook up for the remote latch, and I haven't looked at spring loading it to keep it back...

The WPL rock tires and a little smaller if you need to go that route....
I double up on the WPL springs and put the little plastic...

Yeah, they fit pretty well....I looked at taking a little of the axle stubs but you can only go a couple mm then you are up against the bearings... so then you need to take a little off the back of...

Yeah the Lego's are my "street tire and the WPL "rock tire" (it's what they call it) is the off road, they are smaller and narrower than what you have on there now.

The latch is something "smallHaul" thought up years ago, as the bed goes up a spring pulls the latch down then a bend under the bed pushes it back up as it comes back down all mechanical....

Frizzen... That's a good idea about drilling some hole for tie-wraps.. I just don't lay things out wisely...I lay it out and it looks like it makes sense but when I start sticking it down.... not so...

Time to wire this thing up....
just the basics, headlights, tail lights, back-up lights, bed lift....
One of the first things I do is slip a piece of cut off insulation, red and black on the LED...
