Re: Demag TC 500 truck crane in scale 1/24

That is going to be a real interesting trailer. Is the rear self-steering or is it controlled by the front somehow?

Re: Bruder CAT 320 excavator RC conversion

Very nice work. Really like the use of the 3D templates. Are you going to use hydraulics or actuators for boom movement?

Re: Scania airport fire truck

I have been doing modeling of one sort or another for over 50 years and that is probably the hardest thing I've ever had to learn.

Re: Scania airport fire truck

I think your work so far on this fire engine is fantastic. It is very difficult to match up all those compound curves and you've done a great job. I really like the lighting systems you've put...

Re: 3D Printed Lowboy Redux

Thanks. I printed everything with a Lulzbot TAZ 6 printer using a material called nGen. nGen is a co-polyester made by a company called colorFabb. I really like it. Its as strong if not stronger...

3D Printed Lowboy Redux

I was very intrigued by the 3D printed lowboy conversions postings by bigdogrod. I thought that there was a lot of potential there and seemed like a way to really make use of a 3D printer in the...

Re: Pictures dissapering

Sorry, I should have mentioned in my earlier post, I don't know what the blue square/question mark thing is either. At the bottom of each of your posts that has links to your photos on postimg there...

Re: Pictures dissapering

Ok, after reading another post about how to fix this problem in another thread I have been able to get my photos to reappear. Fortunately for me I did not have all that many threads with photos in...

Re: 3d printed airbag suspension

Is the cross member printed also? Hard to tell but looks like a casting. Love the overall look. Really hoping the ninja flex works out.

Re: Great Dane excavating co.

Thanks for explanation. I agree that your particular setup doesn't need to slip back and forth during actual use and your two spline setup will work fine. Just noticed it in one of your pictures...

Re: Great Dane excavating co.

Very nice, I like the idea of combining set screws with pins to connect the parts. Using thread lock to keep them from backing out? Also, how did you make the slip joint? Broach?

Re: 3d printed parts

OK, wasn't sure why you were interested in the 4 filament system but have know those who did think that they could greatly increase the speed of printing by going that route. Given the size of some...

Re: 3d printed parts

A 4 filament system isn't going to make your printing speed any faster. Can only use one at a time. Multiple filament systems are used when you want to print in multiple colors or use different...

Re: Mercedes Actros SLT

Beautiful work, one of the nicest looking trucks I've seen. Photographed outdoors with the proper background and I don't think you could tell it from the real truck. Thanks very much for sharing...

Re: 3d printed lowboy conversion

That really looks pretty good. When all painted and finished it will make a great little equipment hauler. Looks like standard Tamiya suspension at rear?

Re: Tamiya box (freight) trailer

Visit Michigan. I always wanted to have the tire concession for that state. Five to seven axles per trailer is pretty much the norm there.

Wheel Modification

I have started work on building a model of a truck I used to operate many years ago. I am trying to make it as true to the original as I can. The original truck had painted wheels instead of fancy...
