Re: Hyd. Pumps

Re: Cat 777D Mining Truck

I think Google sketchup is free, and know a few people that have used it. It's not a high dollar program but it can get things further ahead than napkin sketches.

Good luck in your recovery, hope...

Re: Diesel prices

The high prices are why I like to drive my dad's VW Jetta TDI. Thing gets about 46mpg no matter what you do, any amount of number 1 blend though and it drops down to about 38, so we just put anti gel...

Re: cnc ?

Not sure you can add live tooling to a Romi lathe, but have seen Darex auto indexing turrets on them. For starters though a good Aloris QC toolpost is about all you need, and a paint pen to number...

The lathe should only really need 2d contours. I ran one of those back in tech school, can't remember much about it other than it was fairly simple. Alot of the radiuses and angles and that can be...

Re: Thread tap suggestion

They work easier.
Stronger tap that is harder to break as there are no flutes (although some will have 1 small flute in them, but it is for cutting fluid to escape from a blind hole)
No back...

Re: Thread tap suggestion

roll taps = form taps which is the bulk of what I use

Just remember that a larger tap drill size is need as they are not cutting metal away but rather displacing it into the shape of threads....

Re: Cat 777D Mining Truck
