Re: Does anyone here remember "IMC the Company"

If you REALLY want that video in a format you can read now, check at a photo/video shop.

Last year I found a VHS video from 25+ years ago when my wife bought me an hour long flight in an AT6. I...

Re: John Deere 9 Series Tracked Tractor with Planetary Steering

Nice excavator, very realistic - looks like a real kid. Bet the controls can get kinda glitchy on it at times - sometimes does what you don't want it to do?

Had a couple of ideas about the fold...

Re: John Deere 9 Series Tracked Tractor with Planetary Steering

OK... I'm guessing that there's a shaft that's not shown which connects the lift cylinder to the pivot arms for the wheel assemblies. It looks like you've got hangers that will allow you to extend...

Re: John Deere 9 Series Tracked Tractor with Planetary Steering

How much of the disc will be printed? At first I assumed that all the green would be printed; but then I realized that those were probably just the painted parts on the full-sized disc.

Any...

Re: 3D Filament color match to Bruder

Skeeter:

I agree on the CoexLLC Scarlet being a good-enuf match for the Bruder Red, I've got a spool of it ordered and I should get it in a few days.

On another website I found a reference to...

Re: 3D Filament color match to Bruder

I've got a spool of their Enzo red and I'm printing with it now, it wasn't a close match for the Bruder red either. I haven't had any problems with it, but I normally print on the high end of the...

Re: John Deere 9 Series Tracked Tractor with Planetary Steering

For weight in your drive wheels, instead of the hex nuts use shot for shot gun shells. That's what I used to add some weight to the wheels for my Manitou 2150. (It's a WIP.)

I tried a couple of...

Re: How to post links and photos

I use Google photos, apparently it comes with my gmail account, and I've got 17GB of storage available. I have finally figured out how to embed the image in a post. It's actually fairly simple and...

Re: 3D Filament color match to Bruder

frizzen:

I think I'll look for something a little lighter. So far every other yellow has been too light, looked more like the Taxi-cab yellow. I think the Coexllc Construction yellow would be a...

Re: 3D Filament color match to Bruder

This is mostly a test. If this works, the following SHOIULD be an image of a comparison of 2 yellow filament samples from Coexllc with the Bruder yellow -with flash. The sample on hte left is the...

Re: 3D Filament color match to Bruder

I fixed the link to the images, now I've got to figure out how to embed the images in the text.

The Coexllc Scarlet Red is a pretty good match to the Bruder red, it's not perfect, but it's...

Re: 3D Filament color match to Bruder

I got the samples from Coexllc, two different yellows and two different reds. The yellows aren't even close, but one of the reds is a fair match to the Bruder red.

I took a couple of pictures of...

I'm seeing nothing. If you tried attaching images to your thread, this site does not allow that. I can't blame them, images burn up a lot of storage so by not keeping the image files on...

Re: 3D Filament color match to Bruder

More good news, maybe. Coellx is also sending me a couple of samples of different colors of red.

Maybe we'll get a match, they definitely seem willing to work with you. Their prices are more...

Re: Are you kidding me?

I haven't built it yet, it's still in the plottin-n-conivin stage. But when I do build the cutter, it will be on the smallish side. 2'x2', maybe 2'x4' working surface at the most. 2'x4' is same...

Re: 3D Filament color match to Bruder

Well, I've got GOOD news, and I've got BAD news. I heard back from MatterHackers. The GOOD news is that they've got a vendor that can do a custom color, matching somebody else's existing color. ...

Really??? Nobody's done ANY machining for almost 4 years? The last thread posted was in August of 2017.

I'm just getting my shop in the basement set up to be usable for something...

Re: 3D Filament color match to Bruder

For what it's worth, the E-sun Fire Engine Red is a pretty close match to IH Red. It's not an exact match, but it's good enuf for gubmint work. It'll work for the future IH Quad-Trak modifications....

Re: 3D Filament color match to Bruder

I just did a search for "caterpillar yellow" filament, and found this: https://coexllc.com/product/3d-filaments/pla-filament/pla/construction-yellow-pla-175mm-1kg/

Looks good on the screen, I'm...

Your response was about the only one I've ever gotten, on any of the forums I posted this on. I'm still looking for a match to the Bruder red. The E-sun Fire Engine Red might be a close match to IH...

For the linkage from the servo to the nozzle of the monitor you might be able to use one of the bellows that the RC sub guys use to get their control linkages to the rudder and dive planes out of...

Re: New Year--New project

I don't remember what the stall current for that size of a motor actually is, but I'm guessing that it'll probably be around an amp for each motor. A 1 amp or a .5 amp switch might last for a while,...

Since you've got it going through the bottom of the dozer, are you going to seal up the great gaping holes that Tamiya leaves in the gearboxes?

I'm going to try to make a working winch for my...

Re: double ended hydraulic cylinder

Not that hairbrained of an idea, you'd just have to custom build the dual ended cylinder. To get proportional steering you'd have to build a feedback system so that the controls would know the...
