I have a Keyhole shaped hole in the centre of the turntable so you slot in then pull the dolly forward to lock it in place then it is secured with a slide in "blade" that slides across in front of...

This is the turntable bearing I use.
40x60x3mm size suits the tamiya chassis width nicely

Yea its very odd all the axles ive built so far have been spot on besides that one pinion that has free play but ill get it sorted! :)

I currently have 1 pinion out of 6 which jumps out of mesh, it's a different design to the other 5 on the 8x8 so not sure where it's from but will add a circlip or washer between the gear and bearing...
