Always great to see the 990 progress. The pins and locks look spot on Steve.
I think the broken keeper is perfect! I look at a pin like that it tells me, that one went dry seized in the bearing...

So 40 hrs X 14th scale = 560 hrs? :p:p. nahhhhh, the old girl would last longer than that! :o

Really Steve? Running without a filtration system? :eek: the 990 is a tough machine but, not that tough:)
How long did it run before big trouble? Scale it up and probably as long as the real thing...

Sorry to hear she blew up ! :eek: but, looks like in the end , good things come from bad events . Can't wait to see it assembled. ( I say assembled now cuz I hate the words " it's done " ....lol
