Answer: There's no vent.
Think about it, You said it draws fluid from a plate.
The plate is in open air.

Here is the mockup of how the support tower fits into the roof structure.
The existing steel channels are not correct and have to be removed making way for the new brass sheets....

The caps are 1018 Cold Finished bar. The main body are cut offs from a thick plate of Hot Rolled 1018.


Finished the blocks other than the mounting holes.

They are plain bronze bearings. Here is a photo of the 1:1 I am hogging mine
out in the center because I don't want to tap a 1-72 thread into a blind hole....

I would say you would definitely need to hard coat the links but that adds alot of labor charges when they have to clamp each link in a inconspicuous area because the anodizing and black dye won't...

If I ever built a road truck this is the cab I would be using. I too inquired a couple years ago about getting one of these to convert. Needle nose weather a KW or Peterbilt wins my attention.

Nice job on the pre cleaner Dan. If you had a lot of those to make you could make a wooden pattern and spin thin aluminum over it.
