Hey Brandon,

That is the Carson trailer that Ric sells. If you look at this photo along with the one I posted above they both have the beavertail. It doesn't really matter, I was just curious as...

Interesting, I just noticed your Carson trailer does not have the slight beaver tail just ahead of the ramp. Did Carson make a change in design or did you cut yours off?

On a side note can somebody explain this to me? In the description of the DXR2 Dozer it says;


Dead Weight: 26kg / 57LBs
Total Mass Load: 37kg / 82LBs

Is "Total Mass Load" Shipping Weight...

BTW, RC4WD told me the DXR2 is too heavy for that lowboy and you can't use the trailer for that dozer. That dozer weighs 57 pounds, what do you think they would say about your dozer???

I emailed RC4WD this week, I want one of those lowboys too, they said they should be back in stock in a couple weeks. Also wanting the DXR2 dozer to have something to haul! Bigford, you're killing...

Rigid Rc and Lesu offer fifth wheels, I have a Rigid on my truck. I can't say if it's taller than the Tamiya or not but I love mine. You could always cut a piece of styrene (or two), make a spacer...

I do love that lowboy! Wish they were a little easier to get a hold of, like pay with PayPal and a week later you have it, like most things work today instead of bank transfer.

Have you tried other motors with the gear reduction unit? I think the low gears are the trick but a higher RPM motor like a 35T or 45T would give you a little bit of speed........maybe, might be...

Mark, just a thought, have are you familiar with Russ's truck Sour Diesel? He used a 775 can motor, planetary gearbox and LiPO pushing 25V for a truck pull. He posted a video of him smoking that...

Also hard to tell from the photos but is the front of the deck on the lowboy dragging the ground? Need more springs on the truck and trailer? Maybe go solid mount, have Steve or Russ or somebody...

I'm interested to see how the RC4WD GRU does for you and how you like it, hate to say it but I have heard they have a tendency to not last long and lock up. Good luck.
