Re: 1930s dumptruck - Nylint

Thanks skeeter! I'm really happy with how it's coming along.

Bench seat, not sure about adding lights.

I'd been kinda looking at some of the Steelie or Spoke style wheels, but none quite do it...

Re: Wanco vertical mast arrow board

Thanks again man! This is a really sharp trailer.

I'm not great at backing trailers in RC, so i threw on a tongue extension link. Not playing that in Expert Mode. (Erm wait, i mean "So that i can...

3D Printer files for Bodies

Ran across this place that could be helpful if you've got a friendly Pooping Robot.

https://www.scale3drc.com/the-models

The body files are designed for 1/10 so there's going to be some scaling...

Re: RC Benchy

Looks like good progress!

Dreadnaught shouldn't even fear sinking.
I was going to ask if the hull might let you put some styrofoam anywhere in there? Or does the support matrix try to seal it up...

Re: Toyota mini-truckin - WPL

Somehow i started following a path about "WPL Ratrod" builds, i found out there are apparently some narrower 'Lowrider' axles a guy could print.

Now your friendly Pooping Robot can help you tuck...

Re: 1/16 Axle with Differential needed

Ok you said q61, so you want a 2 axle truck?

--The rtr trucks have plastic guts, plastic housings, with '2 screw' diff covers.

-- There's an upgrade with plastic housings with '4 screw' diff...

Re: Build an Excavator from Scratch

Looks like a lot of progress! Shaping up into a very impressive machine

Was the totaled truck something like an Airport Fire engine, or a Trial Truck? Atleast the ejector seat worked.

Re: 1/16 Axle with Differential needed

If price matters, check out Aluminum axle upgrades for JJRC 1/16 trucks.

They match the 1/16 WPL axle dimentions enough to be interchangable to the rest of those chassis. Have 5mm wheel hex. The...

Re: 1930s dumptruck - Nylint

This truck is pretty light, only cab & bed are steel. (Toy safety in the 90s ment less of the rusty & jagged steel i seem to like.)

Realistically I'd really been thinking more like one of the 370...

Re: Time for a rebuild

I really love how that came out! It's a great mix of scale realism, and pressed steel fun

Although, I still think it could use some tailgate chains

Re: Bruder D5 dozer - JerryIndy

Jerry, at some point getting more of a production loading machine seemed like a good idea. 15 min load time is reasonable in full scale, but that's a long time in rc!

Thanks bigpipespete! It's a...

Re: 1930s dumptruck - Nylint

Sweet, that sounds like it'll be more than plenty of motor for this little truck. It should atleast get me up toward the axle-snapping and upgrading to metal diff housings stage.

What size esc are...

Re: Time for a rebuild

I was thinking more like some C-channel with setscrews for the motor mount instead of the really big tube.

Most rock-crawlers do the Ackerman wrong, because it's a lot easier to make it all fit....

That's a really sharp looking rebuild jerry!

I will need to steal some bed-lift ideas from that rig, it looks really stout.

Re: 1930s dumptruck - Nylint

Oh man... "Completely working" ? I just said now it can drive, steer, and dump.

Next you'll say i should still make a 2/3A battery pack, get an Rx and 2 Esc in there. Probably do a little bench...
