Re: WAY TOO COOL!

That's pretty cool, but not even a caption to mention the trucks are radio controlled models?

Re: Kenworth 850 Off Highway

Cool videos, Reg. I like the camera angles showing the axles and suspension working.

Re: Volvo SD200 Compactor

Wow. This is turning out incredible! Your cab is amazing. Is it separate pieces off your CNC mill, glued together as well? The fit and finish is amazing. The whole compactor looks flawless right...

Re: Servonaut reverse beeper

Scott, Servonaut has a handy reference on their site, that shows the different sound options, and with what ESCs. Might be helpful.

Re: New Smoke Generator

That's pretty neat. I like how it has an ESC to push more air through the stack, as the throttle increases.

Re: Paystar 5000

Nice looking trailer. I like that lift axle idea, with the smaller tires on it. It's perfect.

Re: Emil's trucks

Great truck, and really nice photos. I wish more guys would take pictures at a scale human height perspective. It looks very realistic, and the setting is perfect. Love the rolling country side in...

Re: Rearloader

Great video! Now it looks like you need some counterweights in the rear. Maybe some agriculture tractor style suitcase weights that can be added, or removed? I'm still impressed with the...

Re: Caterpillar D11R CD 1:14,5 by Gipicarto

That's a pretty cool heat exchanger. At first I was a little confused about the oil flow and coil tubes in parallel, but after following the path, I think it will work just fine. I'm used to seeing...

Re: Bonding Agent for Aluminum - Who did I talk to at Indy?

Are you guys talking about 3M Scotch-Weld 9300 B/A FST? It's an aircraft bonding agent for aluminum. Two part epoxy.

Re: D11 New Project

Sounds interesting Paul. 7 amps is pretty low current draw, but with two motors, I guess you're up to 14 amps, stall current. That's still not bad.

Re: 1:6 scale 1989 Batmobile

That thing is huge, and awesome. Is it mostly diecast? Always liked this version of the Batmobile best.

Re: Tank issues

Dave, I guess I said speed controller, although these Radio Shack, and other cheap RC toys most likely do not have speed controllers, but a transistorized switch of sorts that turns the motors on or...

Re: Tank issues

I'm not sure much is repairable, beyond wires, with the Radio Shack models. Perhaps your dad would be okay buying a really cheap hobby grade radio, and a Sabertooth ESC from Dimension Engineering. ...

Re: Peterbilt 387

Quad-Dog, I couldn't find many Peterbilt 387 tail light photos on the internet, let alone for Canadian 387s, but I think it would be safe to assume that North American 387 trucks all get the same...

Re: 2013 Indy Show - Vids and Pics

Thanks for sharing the photos and videos guys. Lots of nice trucks there to be sure! I thought I might be able to make the trip this year, but it looks like I'll have to wait till next year...

Re: D11 New Project

I'd be interested to see this become a kit as well. That ripper is huge! I didn't think it was that big. That's impressive. Of course a 1:1 scale D11 is a monster too, so it's not that much of a...

Re: 8x4 vs 8x8

You might get a little better floatation, with an extra steering axle, but honestly, it will still get stuck just about the same as any 6x4 truck. An extra non-driven steer axle is extra rolling...

Re: Bruder Mack conversion

The only pointer I can give you is to be extra careful when you disassemble the cab from the model. Those plastic tabs, man, they sure break easy. I was extra careful and broke one right away. Go...

Re: Wedico 345D?

I know, it's an old thread, brought back up, but about how much more money does one have to throw at it, in order to get it operating better?

Re: Model farm and equipment show, Bocholt / Germany

Frank, thanks for sharing these photos and videos! A lot of nice converted, or complete scratchbuilt models for sure. I'd like to try building my own RC tractor someday. It's on my list of things...

Wow! Extremely nice metal fabrication and machining skills. It's always neat to see a scratchbuilt piece of farm equipment.
