Re: Never a Gas Station around.

There's a Bruder kit that has a gas pump in it. Kinda pricey at ~$90 just to get the gas pump. And I don't see it available as a spare part.

Re: Lebanon Indiana, Feb 2-4, 2023

September in Lebanon would be my first option, I have little opportunity for travelling outside home-base for a hobby.

Surely the KH could be finished by then, and I also have some static stuff...

Re: Lebanon Indiana, Feb 2-4, 2023

I'm checking in for the first time in a few years.
I went to 1 meet that took place in a smaller building (not this rabbit barn).

Re: Bearings in 3-speed gear box

I am building my first KH and just finished the trans. Installed bearings throughout just prior to reading this thread. I have 1 bearing not sliding well, and I agree with Wombii. I'm going to...

Re: 1:8 Scale Trailer Tires, Rims, and Hubs

I've had good luck posting pictures on postimage.org.
There are a few link styles on it, you'll need to experiment to find the right one.

Re: advice please

I found some decent small hinges in brass on ebay, price was better than any dollhouse places I had been looking at. I don't know if they were solid brass, but I was able to solder them. Took some...

Re: 3D Printed Lowboy Redux

Could you print a layer of material with a lip around the edge as a locator, pause it and quickly slide in a piece of L-shaped alum (to match the gooseneck side profile) and then continue printing? ...

Tried to reply, but system says you can't receive private messages. There's a little clickbox you need to hit in your profile settings.

Re: MY NEW GRAND HAULER/KENWORTH BUILD

Yes, if you could get me actual measurements that would be great. I bought a set of generic ones off ebay, and they seem too big, or my homemade trailer is too short. I'm just needing a good...

Re: MY NEW GRAND HAULER/KENWORTH BUILD

Does that tierod have any adjustment? I guess if the axle pieces are machined right, a fixed-length tierod should be OK?

For the turnsignal, try looking in the beads and steampunk jewelry at a...

Re: Livestock trailer build

FWIW, I love postimage.org for pictures. Lots of sizing options for how big you want to make it in your threads, and it seems to be free with minimal adverts. It's kinda the craigslist of...

Re: EXHD Peterbilt

Re: 3d printed lowboy conversion version 2 detachable gooseneck

Mcmaster.com has a bunch of extrusions, not as many as an extrusion manufacturer, but McMaster has pricing on their website, no (or very low) min order amount, and sells to citizens via creditcard.

Re: homebrewed flatbed #2, spread axle

The landing legs have been a major hangup. Have run thru a bunch of ideas, and each one either doesn't look very good, is hard to build, or probably won't operate properly. (I'm thinking of...

Re: Teardrop Trailer

Frizzen -
If you wanted a belly-pan frame for that, I could CNC one for you in 1/8" alum sheet.
You'd need to figure out how you wanted to mount the axle, but I could put some mtg hole in for...

Re: Fury Fan's foibles and follies - homebrewed and crude!

Thanks to you both!

I tried postimage.org to see how it would work, and it's exactly what I wanted - free - and I didn't see any references to 'packages' or payment plans or anything.

IIRC I...

homebrewed flatbed #2, spread axle

My prior thread was about my early junk, this one is geared toward this section. The flatbed at the end of that thread wasn't terribly realistic/scaled, but it looked sorta cool, and I knew it was...
