Re: S&M Trucking open for bizz nizz !!!

Cool looking trailer Mario. If Spudd built this trailer, I'm guessing you couldn't tell me where the material for the sides of the trailer came from?

Re: Biggus' Rat Rod King

Sweet fuel tank! Is the filler cap a thumb screw or something? Looks kind of like it, but I need some fuel filler caps for my own tanks and am looking for ideas. I like the wooden bed you've built...

Re: GLOBE LINER WIDE LOAD

Nice job on this build. It turned out very nice, and I've not see a lot of these trucks around. Maybe two others, that I can think of. Great choice on the colors, and good eye for the details!

Re: Movie Optimus Prime build

That looks really nice, Bob! Can't wait to see more. Glad it turned out well for you this time. Finally, right? Take a deep breath, relax, and soak it all in. Well deserved.

Re: Measure Twice, Print Once

Win some, loose some. Looks like it would be really nice, if it was the right size though.

Re: Who can machine plastic?

CNC isn't really necessary, but it would speed up the process. A good manual mill and a lot of calculations would give the same result. I could see it being a time consuming part either way. I...

Re: Scale

Build it to match what you have. If you have nothing else, and you are thinking about other models, consider their scale factor. If you plan to scratchbuild your own trucks, choose whatever size...

Hmm, does it have to be styrene? Maybe aluminum?

Re: Super Sized...

Wow, that's crazy. Wish I could translated the interview, but those are some incredible models....machines! At that size though, I'd probably look at getting a skidsteer and mini...

Re: Freightliner COE Cabover 6x4 1:Wedico

The Freightliner turned out great! Definitely something different that I haven't seen a lot of. Most Wedico guys go after the Peterbilts. I bet with the shorter wheelbase and it being a COE, it's...

Re: Liebherr 944b Demolition!

I was going to comment in my first reply, but forgot! That display console in the cab is awesome. Functional too? Is it an onboard battery monitoring system? Very cool.

Re: All About LED's

Jason and Scott, thanks. Glad this little write up is still useful. Once I start wiring up my Kenworth, I'll update this thread with some photos of how I did it.

Scott, I've been digging around...

Re: Volvo SD200 Compactor

Beautiful! I can't wait to see it all painted up and operating. Definitely one of the cooler, more unique builds I've seen on the forum.

Re: Full frame Dump trailer build ?

Double Pole, Double Throw switch. Basically a switch that reverse the polarity to the load, in this case the screw driver motor. That way it can raise or lower the dump box. You would want a three...

Done....already? Amazing considering all of the engineering, work, and time you've put into this! It's beautiful. What's the next model going to be?

Re: D11 New Project

Very nice! The motor and drivetrain seems virtually silent and is as smooth as can be.

Re: BIG BUD 16V-747

Cool model, Travis. How do you utilize the stock rims and tires, and bolt them to Tamiya axles? Custom hubs?

Re: True Scale - 389

Looking forward to this build, Russ. The 3D printed cabs and hoods are definitely cool. Keep this up and pretty soon you'll be offering your own complete truck kits.

Re: Liebherr 944b Demolition!

Sweet! So the undercarriage can be narrowed up? Is that transport mode? I know some of these machines are like that. The grapple looks awesome. Is it brass, soldered together? I'd paint it. It...

Re: He is at it again! 1:50 Dozer Conversion

Wow, that's a nice conversion! It runs really smooth too. Any photos that you could share of the model? I wonder how well the tracks will hold up, or if they will clog with dirt.

Re: Tranmission E Maxx?

From a packaging standpoint, it's actually a pretty large transmission. I've never read about anyone destroying a stock Tamiya 3 speed, but I do agree that they are pretty sloppy with the back lash,...
