I think it was around 350 for all of the parts.Then the transmitter/reciever.
Used high torque metal gear servos converted to 360 for the screwdrives,tracks,turntable.Then a 7.2 battery pack ,on/off...

Have you had any luck with the threaded rod ?
I've done a few builds,along with the bruder excavator with screwdrives,I use 1/2 ,3/8 SST tubing 0.035 wall along with 1/4 wood auger bits...

Made a stiff arm thumb for the excavator,only running 6 channels had to go this route,it works good.

Yea,a thumb would sure work nice with the loose material.

I'm sure that you have seen my thread on the excavator.Far as the turntable and tracks. I give a link to towerhobbies where I found the spur gear,its plastic,but a good grade,haven't had any problems...

I have a 4 channel Tactic transmitter ,left joystick was not spring return,took the transmitter apart ,removed the stop for the joystick, now it has spring return,I suppose it can be done with...
