The 250 mm width would represent 3.6 meters (12 ft) in 1:1 scale. Far enough for a 50 to excavator.

But as there is no indication on the track length, you may be right about this point....wait and...

As a "no-machinist", I must say your work is rather impressive ;)

I just kept the original shafts, drilled my additional length 0.2 mm less than the external diameter of the splines and "forced"...

Have you noticed the hyd. pressure and digging force changed on the specs list of the RC4WD page :confused:

Pressure is now said to be set at 20 bars instead of the previous 12 ;)

(and 8.5 MPa...

In his 1:1 scale job, he owns 3 different trailers to alternately haul logs (his main activity), large natural stone blocks, forestry equipment and large steel bridge sections.....he does not have so...
