yep, it is the model before but not quite that simple because this cab underwent several face lifts before the green style of cab was introduced and this is the first version.

It is much cheaper...

I think I understand what you are asking.

Without getting too complicated, the second steering axle has to turn less than the front one to avoid excessive wear on the tyres.

so it makes turning...

I've got round to starting the trailer, it is a scale 20 foot long to fit in with the UK laws on maximum length for lorry and trailer

Thanks for the positives, twin steering is not too bad to do.

Out at a local meeting to give it a decent run to see what shook loose. It survived the trip and only one nut shook loose ....

Just love it when my 1:14 scale Leylands get to recover a MAN or Scania when we are out for a drive at our local meeting place.

thanks buzzy, the green one is going to have some attention when it gets warm again, rear mudguards need tidying up, its had a lot of work snow clearing over the last few days ...

It's a Hobby Engine excavator, the one on rubber tracks. Don't think they make it any more though.
