Agree about the brass prices, tried to locate some profiles, the manufactor wanted top $$. Guess it will never be much cheaper, chineses buys all they can.

Will the 7x19 (is that 7parts with 19 treads in each, or 7mm with 19 treads) have shorter life lenght than 7x49??
Guess it depends on minimum radie that the cable can be run with,

Nice wheels, have to get a CNC machine sometime. Was a little surpriced when visiting the show in Germany last november, there was manufactors showing CNC equipment, had never thought about that...

Steve, did not realize that I have been looking at a real 9W until I saw that movie. Pic bellow was taken spring 2006 when a group was visiting the coal fields of PA. Don´t know the exact location...

On my model I will try using Plexi cut to size, drill a hole on rear and put a white LED.
The Plexi was bought as scrap at local dealer, LED´s are 5 for $4. Plexi comes in different sizes, sheets,...

Now it´s clear why you had to spend a lot of money on tubing. Very nice piece of work, guess I have to visit you next time in us to get a crash corse in brazing!

Steve, what I ment was it´s a shame to cover all this beautiful machinery covered up with sheet metal. You have put so much work into it so it has to be seen. Maybee a removable roof?

Wow, that wheel looks so much better when milled, guess you have to run the machine without any superstructure on it. when milling in brass, how much do take in each pass?

Those parts are like arts, guess that with a CNC machine , you still have to put in hour of design of the part in CAD program. Best is that it can be reproduced from files if needed. Have not had any...

What CAD program do you use?
I was lucky to get digital readout on my milling machine but how funny to have a CNC.
Guess that out of budget for modelling purpose only.
