Re: 1:10 10x10 "HEMTT" (actually M1074 PLS w/ M1076 trailer)

Great looking truck!!!

The loading system and crane look like they'll work really well. Doesn't look like any fun designing those...

Oh no, another of those crazy Fiero owners?

Re: What's everyone been working on?

Ethan, what kind of material handling conveyer are you considering? Toy conversions, Scratch-built, Kit?
Do you like: Belt, Bucket, Trommel...

Re: Toyota mini-truckin - WPL

These D- wheels are a plastic front face and treadwidth with a glued on tire. The inner sidewall just hangs out in the air. They're cheap, rubber tread, narrower that the C- wheels, and stamped...

Re: Toyota mini-truckin - WPL

"Good, good, late the hate flow through you!" (I still don't go for collector quality cars to ruin with awesomeness, this one looks like a cross-country rental truck that's been in use since the...

Re: What's everyone been working on?

Ethan, I know there are some pretty cool conveyers around here to reference, in both conversions and scratchbuilds. Downside is many seem to be hidden in other build threads, or have some kind of odd...

Re: Ram Build

I'm digging the quad cab Ram and especially that tandem trailer.

Some styrene sheet in like 0.040" or 0.060" would probably be about right for filling those chassis holes back in. Either solvent...

Re: Toyota mini-truckin - WPL

Thanks tommy. With a lot of customs ya either get it, or not. I think this is one that can't be explained. 'Whose on first' seemed to fit.

Jerry, those look promising. Still might be a little more...

Re: 3D Filament color match to Bruder

For bruder Cats i mostly like the looks of that Constuction yellow, but i'd add a step after printing to do a Wash or Drybrush of some grime or rusty colors onto the part.

Would you mind doing a...

Re: Toyota mini-truckin - WPL

Frame under red gets the 4-link inverted, and some chop for maximum slammed.

Got the Red bed hollowed out, tonnau cover and fwd bulkhead installed

Turns out a "Beef&Broccoli with hot & sour...

Re: Peterbilt 6x6 Medium Hauler

So with the FS-I6X, i'm assuming you still have a menu for setting 'End Point Adjustments' like the fs-i6?
If so, you can back off the servo throws to a lower percent of travel to keep from having...

Toyota mini-truckin - WPL

A while back a guy needed some WPL axles for a custom Dodge Tradesman van, but a set of axles alone with some metal guts weren't all that much cheaper than a whole C24 kit. Ok, guess I like blue a...

Re: Hello!

Hi jesse.

As you noticed, that way does NOT work for pics. You need to have them hosted somewhere first, then over here the picture url goes into some img tags. We've got several write-ups on it,...

Re: New Year--New project

Sharp looking setup with the yellow tracks and rear winch!

Have you thrown a volt meter on one of the rx ports yet while moving the servos? I still think that sounds more like a brown-out than...

Re: Crane Model Build update

Wow!! As far as i can tell, there's nothing 'newbie' about that build!!!

Beautiful crane, and the workmanship looks amazing.

I would have loved to get to see a build thread on this machine.

Re: VW bay-window transporter

Thanks skeeter, although it wasn't actually my thinking. The idea was totally stolen off "2beers" from Scale4x4rc / ScaleBuildersGuild. He was putting a "Tigger interior" in an orange square body...

Re: John Deere 9 Series Tracked Tractor with Planetary Steering

Very cool project!

Don't think i'd ever heard of softening rubber by boiling wintergreen oil into it.

Re: Noobie from SE Gippsland

Welcome, it'd be cool to see some of your wpl stuff and progress on the CA10.

Maybe something like a kingkong rc CA30 with a 5th wheel instead of bed might work for you? (Studebaker us6 / Zil 150)...

Re: Accurate W900 Mirrors

I ment more like the 'testors decal paper' with an inkjet printer. I know it's only in white or clear, so it might not work well with the light stripe on dark body. Possibly some fine white gel pen...

Re: Accurate W900 Mirrors

I'm not into trucks enough to really notice mirrors being specific styles.

For the Lettering and Pinstripes your best bet is probably photoshop them off existing pics and making some waterslide...

Re: Mercedes Benz 560SL convertible

Thank you!

Slapped some grey paint in the interior. Pulled the hood sticker.
Made the top, fwd, and bottom sides of a sub box. I'd like to flock it before it all gets mounted up & sealed. Also...

Re: Peterbilt 6x6 Medium Hauler

For super-single steers, probably consider making a set of cut&shuts? You'll need some Rubberized CA glue normally used for mounting racecar tires. I'd take off the parting line tread block, and...

Iooks pretty...

Re: Peterbilt 6x6 Medium Hauler

Snow pics look great

Soda can or aluminum disposable oven cookware (tooling foil) can make pretty good license plate backing.

Re: Mercedes Benz 560SL convertible

Ok guys, i'm sorry. Mistakes were made.
This appears to be a W126 Mercedes-Benz 560 SEC instead of a Mercades-Benz 560 SL as i'd previously thought. I'm unable to edit titles, so you're going to...
