Or those people who spend 50K on a boat that spends 8 months of the year on a trailer in the driveway. Never mind the cost to run one. Boating is a expensive hobby compared to RC's imo.

Morning :). I got the rollers made for me by Reg ( RCP57 ) . It's a tube with end caps that have a set screw incorporated into them. I'm sure Reg could explain how he made them.

Looking good! I think the speed is pretty darn close. Although everything is new and tight and maybe a little more speed would be nice in the long run, you have to keep in mind this is a big machine...

I know you said it's a mock up pic. The way you have the bearings is the opposite of how the real machines are. Bearing tapers should face inward.The cups are in wheel hub opposing each other.

I remember seeing a control valve sliced in half to show exactly how porting looks inside when I was in trade school.

I am just blown away! I've seen videos of the 1:1 version of these but never in a million years would have thought someone would make a functional scale version that actually functions that well!
