Thanks for posting Mike. Those are some beautiful trucks. Paint looks good and they're coming together nicely. You boys should be proud of your first builds. I'll be watching...

As it's been said before, "It isn't quantity, it's quality that matters," and by looking at your builds, they both look nice. Each truck has a character of it's own. They are distinctly different, but you want that. If they were the same you'd feel kind of cold about the hobby and lose interest. As they say, "The spice of life is variety".

Although blackmailing your father may not be prohibited by the forum, I'd be very careful about "blackmail" when it comes to Dad... He has more than enough info to bury you with Mom as it is. Do you really want to go there???

I always found negotiation and agreements with Dad helped me get what I wanted. He's in a better mood and may even help you get the "extras" that you forget to purchase when your doing your next project; At least it never hurts.

It's probably better not to involve Mom. Let's face it, we have to deal with her too and you don't want her mad at you, do you?!?

Take it from a man who's dealt with his folks as arbitrator for over 4 decades, plan and negotiate with your folks - never try to blackmail them, it never comes out in your favor.
