There used to be a conversion kit that almost cut it in half and basically locked it in 1 gear. I think you can still get an aluminum tranny case for it as well. mazda , I'm staying with the 2 speed

I did a little bit today got the 2nd axle made up and started on the pinion shaft openings .






and when you get a couple of big puppies together you might end up with a lil puppy
