It has on any I've tried. Basically the pot in the servo tells the controller where the output is in relation the position you want. The pot just sends an analog value to the controller. By using the two resistors the center wire is located dead center of the total resistance value so the servo board assumes the servo is centered. Then when u move a stick on your radio in either direction the controller will turn the motor trying to get the resistance it sees to change ( which it can't).
I've also used small 5kohm pots soldered in as well for fine tuning
