yes like lynn said the c bracket is removable .i am removing mine and its easy to turn the c bracket around and use the holes as a guide to drill .i am mounting mine to the frame directly and eliminating the bracket altogether...i will be doing that some time today or tomorrow so i will post pics of it
i am going to put a little slot on the holes as looking at the box the bracket is a little crooked and i want them to sit evenly
