Re: Hauling Dirt out of my basement (present day)
Dan, I've lived here nearly ten yrs, but the digging really didn't start till the summer of '05. The previous couple winters I moved dirt from one corner to another a couple times each winter.
No special intentions for the added space, it was just a great source of entertainment to work at when things were slow on the farm at various times of the yr. I would have been done by now had I really wanted to be, the last couple yrs what I've taken from the walls I have processed/piled a few times before taking the dirt out. And also I have a lot less free time now that I farm solely by myself, I only work at it a few hrs a week the last couple yrs, where as I use to be a few hrs every night. It's been the perfect all weather/all season playground for several yrs.
I've got a bit more than a cubic meter of loose soil to move out, which I'll likely get done even if I do move out.
