hi modelman,
unless santa brings me some more rams ( not likely) I will be keeping the slow ones.
after a bit of practice we are getting used to them and when to activate them to achieve what we want the dozer to do, I weighs in just under 35kg with a 6500ma lipo battery and has a few issues in the pit, If we push too much dirt it digs a hole with the tracks, so soft dirt will be a challenge.
just need to change our driving style, or wider tracks.
as for the track sprocket height, with the type of motor gear box I have that is as low as I can get the drive sprocket, just a space issue inside the dozer, I could have made it longer and wider to get the right look, but then its not going to fit on the trucks and will be way too big.
for the time being the kids are enjoying them selves and it pushes good.
I still have about 8 feet of track leftover so might build one for me and try to do it more scale, once I finish of all other rc projects and anything else the wife comes up with .
at the moment this is still a hobby and hasn't become an obsession yet but I can see it happening. LOL..

cheers andy
