Talking about LiPo batteries, advice to hook up a separate LiPo alarm unit, set at 3.6V . Can make a expencive battery last longer/take more recharges. If the cell voltage drops bellow a certain value, there will be damage reducing the life quite much. ESC's ofte have cut-off function for LiPo's but it's usally put very low, like 2.8-3V, no good.
