Bruder Mack conversion
Monday morning, work let out early. Having some spare time, I stated this Mack Bruder conversion..............Well, I CAN'T exactly say started, as I disassembled the thing about a month ago. I SHOULD say, I FINALLY got around to starting the conversion process.

Re: Bruder Mack conversion
Looks good so far! One thing ill point out being a tamiya chassis is rc4w low rider tyres! It will sit perfect inside the front wheel arch. (Am doing a slow conversion for a friend) they have the same diameter as bruder wheels on tamiya rim!

Re: Bruder Mack conversion
Thank-you. I'll keep that in mind, when it's time to figure out what wheels, & tires to put underneath it.
IF I had it to do again. I would have left the motor under the hood. When I started this build, I was planning a Tamiya 3 speed transmission, so I took the motor out. With the WTB Car 2 speed planetary gearbox, it's NOT as tall as a Tamiya box. |

Re: Bruder Mack conversion
Oh im building his with the tamiya gearbox too. I should be able to hide it fairly well under a centre console. I did cut the front of the chassis rails to keep the cab back so the motor is under the hood and partly under rhe dashboard

Re: Bruder Mack conversion
I look forward to seeing the pics. Perhaps it'll give me some inspiration for my build? This is my first truck conversion of this caliber.

Re: Bruder Mack conversion
I HAVEN'T forgotten about this build! I've been spending time on the dozer conversion. I figured that this project was one that I got as a WINTER time project. If Winters is as slow for work as I'm thinking it will be.................I'll be glad to have a project to work on. Gotta keep myself busy tinkering on something, or I'll go nucking futs.
