Freightliner, Globe Liner, take your pick. Like the name, the build is a mish-mash of things: drivetrain is off-the-shelf, frame is Home Depot, body and accessories are 3D printed. In the 1:1 world rarely are two trucks exactly alike, so mine is customized to ... me. It's scaled to match the rest of my fleet, a bit bigger than your regular Tamiya. I haven't done an RC in a few years, so wanted to get my brain and skills back again before I start on my mega-project, a rotator wrecker.
Lots of it ain't perfect, but I had fun making it. I like to make things.
First up is to design the thing in CAD to test fitment (which will still be wrong) and to export printed parts.
Eventually a design is settled on and the chassis emerges.
Tried various color options, and ended up liking this purple, thus the name Purple Nurple.
