Look what rolled into our yard today!
I was working away when I saw something catch the corner of my eye in the yard... It is "The legend of the black pearl" I had lots of questions and wanted to take more pics but hard to do when your supposed to be working So I got a few quick shots, asked a few questions...turns out the artist who painted this truck is from Sault Ste Marie !!! The owner is from Michigan and says he now has custom rear fenders and is planning a 40K repaint for the truck.
The current paint is 7 years old, and as I saw it today covered in bug guts and road grime, it still looked amazing and a real head turner!! Here she BE !!!... the turn out stacks are a little different eh??? the writing on the fender trim are sea shanty lyrics... I like the cut recess in the hood with cannons firing inside the interior was spectacular and my Ipad could not do it justice in showing the wow factor... and the owner mentioned a youtube video which shows this truck.... http://youtu.be/LSkWblDnCBc hope you like Mario |

Cool truck. It's nice to see the truckers that take pride in their ride... Not common these days with all the fleet speck junk out there.

Re: Look what rolled into our yard today!
I believe the word that best describes this truck, as far as I'm concerned, would be gaudy...but then again you know what they say...To each his own.. if he likes it that's all that matters.

Re: Look what rolled into our yard today!
hey mario this truck was at the fergus truck show some years ago and if i am not mistaken the frame is painted to look like wood planks, and it was dedicated to his daughter...very nice couple...nice truck, should have the portrait of his daughter on the hood...

Re: Look what rolled into our yard today!
Agreed that. It has way too much for my taste but it still looks better than those white international pay star with mail box sticker lettering on the doors and rusty budd rims...lol

Re: Look what rolled into our yard today!
Never thought I'd have more to post about this truck that came and went back in 2013 but Lo and behold, it's back! And not towing a trailer.
The owner is having the hood repainted ( paint job done by a local man here in my home town ) and also getting a in frame done while its here. That means I have a lot more time to get a look at this truck like I couldn't before Yes, it is loud, there's a lot going on all over this truck but I never thought I'd see what I see under the hood In frame includes a new cylinder head but unlike any other truck through our shop, this one is a much different process. Once the head arrived from Cat, it wasn't installed. No, it had to be sent to the painter for airbrushing along with the turbo, after cooler, coolant tank.... Enough words, I had to get some pics and share now. Will add a few more when completed.....crazy! Oh, and the wood grain frame rails, that goes all the way under the cab and sleeper up to rear suspension mounting! |

That's a awesome truck!
I hope he does not drive it much in winter, would be a shame to see that all damaged by salt. |
