Filling your hydraulics .....
I had to find a nice way to fill a hydraulic pump..... Had used the old Wedico bottle before and even had the adapter hose slip off and spill all over. Doing this in a room where I would get killed if I made a mess .......So to the stores I went.....this is what I found. At the TSC (also Farm and Fleet??) in the bovine section I found this medicine pump. Used to administer doses of meds to animals in large groups - hook it to a large bottle and pump measured doses to each animal.......What do ya know - it's a transfer pump! Even came with hose. So if your in need of a unit to fill your units and not make a mess here ya go. I even used it to flush this unit out - took and hooked up the 'pump' to the tank fill and then took a separate line from the valve body to an empty bottle. (the pump had been emptied and tore down and cleaned up previously)

Re: Filling your hydraulics .....
It'll be interesting to know how long of a duration that this bovine medicinal transfer pump will last?
The plastic syringes I use, the rubber plunger swells to the point of non use after about a month from it's 1st use. |
