Default Another Bruder low loader conversion

Hello All

Well here goes sorry only just posting lot of photos but here is my current project converting a Bruder low loader with the help of some piggy Taylor's upgrades. Not got a truck but it is on it's way to me getting a Tamiya Scania R620 as the tractor unit but going to change to R730.

Cut and stretch

Gaps filled

DIY suspension

Some of the metal work to strengthen care piggy Taylor thanks

Side extension for when its carrying my Challenger II

3d printed sides and electronics box

New 3d printed wheels and tyres

Piggy Taylor's aluminum ramps

Fitting some cheque plate

3d printed spare wheel, holder and wheel chocks

Primed hoping to get painted this weekend

Tamyia scania R620 arrived yesterday but going to get trailer finished before starting it and planning to use Beier system for tractor unit and trailer.

Nice work, I'd like to see the ramp mechanism too... I have two of these but haven't decided what I want to do with them...What did you use to print the tires.... A 3d printer may be my next purchase ....

Hi

Thanks for the comments, the tyres where printed with black flex filament, here is pics on ramp motor mount and build update

Here is the ramp motor mount piece of 4 or 6mm plywood epoxy to underside of trailer, with machine screws coming down through the deck Piggytaylor advices not to make the fastening so I left couple of millimetres play and used lock nuts on the end of the screws to keep secure

3d printed legs but had to design and print a bulkhead to fit them

Decided to reprint the wheels as used stronger pla and my printer is more dialled in

A red trailer

Rear lights and side markers

Printed a head connection to use physical eclectic or signal connection

The dreaded wiring loom

Wooden deck fitted
