Hi, does everyone here buy the K1 chain for tracks or are there alternatives to building scale steel tracks. The only source I have near is Viking chain, given to me by rclogger, they will sell minimum of ten feet for $150.00 plus shipping. Pricey for a fixed income.
Thanks Terry |

I can't afford it either so I TIG weld nuts to the sides of the chain links. This process takes a little time but in the end does the same job for less $$$$$$$$$. The K1 is deffinately stronger than my way though and will stand up better over time plus you can just rivot the track pads on instead of bolting them.
