So, I was going over my "leftover" parts from the semi and my highlift build. It looked like I had allot of parts and I had originally took the front semi suspension and was going to use it for building a trailer, but that has now started to become a truck.
First was the frame rails that I had. Same thing but I used the ones that had holes in them. ![]() I had the original 3 speed from the semi as I used the fancy 2 speed planetary in the semi. ![]() I used the old trailer lights from the flatbed trailer. I also had an F350 cab that I used to have on my SCX10 until the body posts broke lol. So I mocked it up on the frame. ![]() I was debating on one or two axles, but decided on once because it would look weird with two. The rear axle is a tamiya highlift axle. it is one wheel each side wider then the fronts. ![]() ![]() I then just mocked up the rear axle in the holes that were existing in the frame for now. The springs are Topcad D90 springs from asiatees. ![]() ![]() I also took the dremel and removed the additional springs from the semi front springs and the topcad D90 springs were just bolted like a highlift spring set. This gave me great flex! ![]() ![]() There is more to go. I did make videos along the way. They will be out on Youtube soon. I am planning to sand down and re-do the cab.. eventually. ![]() comments/suggestions?
