Default Shorten Weidico Multi-stage Hydraulic Cylinder?

The Weidico multi-stage cylinder looks like it will work (diameter and mounting are good) for my off-road dump truck application (need two cylinders) except for retracted and extended lengths. Weidico specs show 5-5/8" and 15-7/8" as min and max length measured at the mounting pin holes. I need 3-1/4" and 8-7/8".

Has anyone shortened this cylinder? Obviously at bit tricky since all four sections will have to be done. Are the seals easily damaged during assy/disassy? Are seals replaceable? I don't know how these units are assembled internally, so can't guess at how complicated this might be to modify. What is maximum pressure this cylinder will handle?

Would appreciate any comments. Thanks.

Ken
