I needed something to do today while Spudd's paint was drying so I got my drag cars out and tried to run them.
The red one is just a simple RJ Speed kit with a 10turn double motor and a 8T racing ESC. It is fast and today I worked on getting it to go strait. I thought I had it dialed in for a good run so I sprayed the rear tires with instant traction (CRC fan belt dressing). The results from that were not good, it launched, carried the front wheels for about 30ft and then it went bad. The front sat down peeled the O ring front tires off the rims then went on it's side over-sped the rear ungluing one rear tire and shearing off the left side axle. I put it back together and still have to re glue the tire and I will try it again tomorrow.
The blue one is a Hyper Drive pan car that I bought cheep from a guy giving up on pan car racing ($500 kit still in the box for $50). I bought it just to build a drag car and ran it once before putting it back to a pan car to race on carpet. Since I don't race any more I started putting it back together as a drag car. I still need a better motor the 21.5 brush-less is fun for putting around but I think I will go with a 5.5 since the ESC is capable of running down to a 3.5 brush-less. I tried a 3.5 last time and it was just way to much motor.
Thanks for looking.
