Hello I'm new to the rc hobby I bought my 4 year old son an excavator and tractor and trailer to play in his sand pit wen we got them the tractor was abit of a let down and the excavator could be better so I decided to convert a bruder JD tractor after seeing a few YouTube vids the conversion is going ok I will try post some pics soon any hints and tips will be much appiceated on the tractor or upgrading the excavator it is a top race

Welcome to the forum. Cool to hear you and your son are interested in moving dirt! The "toy grade" excavators are just that. They are too light and under powered to do much. Best bet would be to glue the clutches if you can access them. The other trick is to make sure the excavator is below what your trying to dig. At least with the hobby engine excavator the bucket won't physically go below the tracks.

Ok thanks for the tips the excavator does dig under itself I will give glueing the clutch ago
