Hey guys I have been building another fire truck on the side over the last few weeks and I will get picks up soon just have not had the time and the company could not make up there mind witch way they want to go so now that they have that fireguard out I can get moving again.. I am looking for some type of water pump that would be 7.2 area or 12 volts that would give me some presser..
Does anyone know where I might be able to get one??

It pumps 7 liters per minute...you neck that down to an 1/8" output and it would work great.

Are fuel pumps for cars small? I would think a windshield washer pump would be good. Can't see why you need more pressure?
What about fuel transfer pumps for large Rc planes? Izzy |

Paul, how about a pump for a tile saw or aquarium? Are they offered in 12v?

Go dumpster diving and find a "swifter wet jet " floor cleaner. they have a 6 V pump in them. The inlet is only .050 but they pump like mad.
I saw a photo of one that the person made a new inlet base for one and he used a bigger inlet. It looked good. Ken |

They make washer pumps about the size of a c cell battery. Now to get one smaller than that your probly not going to get much of a pump.

Awhile back I purchased a couple computor cooling pumps,& one of them had 3/8s hose fittings. I couldn't believe the water this little guy moved. If you take one of them & nozzle it down, might just do the trick! There 12v & about the size of a silver dollor by 3/4" thick. I posted pics of it on the garden back when you did the last firetruck.
Let me know & I'll find the info for you. FGD

Get one of the 6v/12v fuel pumps. I bought one and tested it, and when ya get down to the nozzle, it sends a nasty long spray even at 6v. I canna remember the brand at the mo, but the casing was yellow and a long rectangle. Ran about $10.
If ya want, I'll try to dig her out, and if it helps, see if I can get some video of the wee beastie sending out a stream. I'll even open the casing to let ya see how she could be miniaturised. I wish I could lay my hands on the ones Robbe used to send out with their Water monitors... it was a wee unit, barely bigger than 540 motor, and was a gearpump, but it is ~nice~. I'd buy a dozen if I could find a hoarde. It was initially made by Thunder Tiger, but they have no records of it, and Robbe is out. I can post a pic of her as well, and video too. WhiteWolf |

My car has a really small washer pump, about 2inces long and as big around as a quarter. My high volume fuel pump is tiny also. It's larger then the washer pump, but flows like crazy 255 lph
