Heres a truck Ive been working on and off with for about a year. Still isnt much to look at and my skills are pretty rough, but its finally starting to come together. My original plan was to use a tamiya tundra frame and transmission to make a short flatbed trucks. I quickly abandoned that idea and thought about making a short shunt truck, which eventually gave way to a longer flatbed truck.

what do you guys think? the hood was tough to shape, i know its not exact but you think its close?

I love the rims I got from mack daddy, they fit the truck great! the transmission is from a venom creeper crawler, and a tamiya semi rear end. The rest of the parts are just junk I had lying around.

And I agree, the wheels fit the truck like a glove. And I also like the stretched frame.

Ya it started as a beat up pumpkin body, the sanding is killing me lol, but the end is near!

Ya I'm learning styrene as I go, there's ALOT of bondo lol, guys with good skills could prolly do it without any! I'm happy with it none the less. Hopefully I'll start the bed next week.

Those rims you said you got from Mack daddy? Does he make them. I need a couple sets for a couple future builds.

Ya the rims are sweet, from what I understand someone on here ( not Mack daddy ) made a run of them a while back but is no longer producing them. I've got a guy looking at one if the spare duals I have, he thinks he can cast some out of resin, if it works out I'll maybe get some made up!

This is actually really cool. I love the old school look and I think it looks much better on the longer rails. I am only echoing what other people have already said when I say this but, plus one on both the wheels and your skills.
Don't knock your work man! From what I can see, most of it is scratch made. From spring hangers, to the rails, the front cross member, spacers, even the 5th wheel bracket. You seem to have made nearly everything. That is very admirable. I think you are doing an excellent job!

thats awesome! is it gonna be a single axle or tandem! i also agree those rims are a perfect match! brings it back to (chips patrol time) ! at least thats were i remember seeing them! did you get that show in canada?

I'm gonna run it single axle , I've got a pointless hitch on the back might make a dolly up so I can run another trailer behind it too. And ya we got chips here, can't say I ever really watched it tho

This is a great looking set up. I did one of these body's after Bullet did his and I never finished it. it is just sitting in primer I have to finish it you have inspired me to get to work and make it like my Dad's old trucks. Nice Work..
