Love the updates to the track loader. That is a beautiful machine. 4 in 1 bucket too.
That tracked dump truck looks like it has the same cab and hood as the track loader. It's not based on a real design, is it?

Wish I could afford those!! They're beautiful. That 4-in-1 bucket is awesome!

It really does look a little odd Nate I have never seen another like it in 1 to 1 ..Looks as though they just turned the cab around facing the opposit direction ..works for me ..the long tracks look as though they could give some problems with material building up in them when doing sharp turns though and wow 20 rollers per side ..lots of greaseing ..lol...be neat to see it in action ..Blade in the back is great too..
BTW congrats on this months BOTM..I knew your Needle nose would take it..Deserves it ..good work Last edited by tracksntreadslou; 04-06-2013 at 02:03 AM. |

Thanks Lou! I was actually surprised about BOTM! My truck isn't even finished yet, and there were some beautiful models posted. It was a really close race!
I have to wonder if Scale Art will sell very many of those tracked dump trucks. It's an interesting model, but a bit strange at the same time. I wonder too, if the track loader is a licensed Cat model, or just based off one, and the decals will be left up to the buyer to make and stick on? I'm afraid to ask what the track loader costs! The older versions were as much as used 1:1 skid steer. ![]()

Is it really a model they will sell you think? Or just a model for show maybe, like you said i cant see they selling alot of those, they should build something the pepole want, like a excavator, dozer or a wheel loader, but thats just what i think.

Interesting, but I don't think I'll get one. Would have rather they built a dozer. The new Cat Loader looks great though.

So that style of dumper does exist?! I've never seen one before now.

What is the application for this kind of truck? The rear blade is very strange, is that for pushing dirt back in the trench after the load is dumped or is it more of a push bar or what? Also seems like dump work would be hard on expensive tracks. Maybe I'm missing something.

Interesting, but prob suited more for the guy who has everything. I would rather see a dozer model or grader like a 24H! The track loader is really cool. I'd buy one. Thanks for posting. I would imagine after the big show this week we will be seeing some more new stuff.. Can't wait.

I really really like the loader, but not a fan of that dump truck, looks too mixed & matched for my taste and for what they will ask for it's price. I'm with all of you as I rather see a dozer or a grader.

I wonder how much the 4in1 bucket costs... It would be interesting to see how one fits on other loaders like the Liebherr 576, CAT 966, etc...
It would give the loaders more bite, that's for sure! Cheers, Ap |

The tracked dump truck does exist then! Wow. It really doesn't look to have the same heavy capacity to replace any off road articulated dump trucks. Is this a European market design? Maybe it's niche machine, designed where floation is most important. All in all, a pretty cool machine, but seems to be a little to much of a 'one of a kind' machine to sell like hot cakes! But at the price Scale Art will get for it, I am sure it doesn't matter!

Watch the youtube video above it's a company that builds equipment using Caterpillar components. Kind of like Kress does in the United States. |

From the video, it looks like perhaps it uses CAT engine and technology from other equipment, but is built for the German market by the other company noted in the video.
Willy may be able to tell us, if he can listen and give us a rough translation of the audio. Unless someone else knows German, that is? WhiteWolf - agreeing that the dumper looks ~very~ odd... |

Heres a video of the new dumper in action ..It looks as though the blade may get in the way if you are backing up in uneven ground ..Cant really tell how high it will raise out of the way.
