low buck tractor build
Hi guys, heres a few pics and info on my new "low buck" tractor build.
All the components (including most of the brass and styrene) have been repurposed from other projects. The gearbox , driveshaft, and axle are from a losi MRC crawler. Front tires and wheels are old proline units from back in the 80's, and the rear tires and rims are rc4wd flash points on tamiya hummer rims. The electronics consist of a novak 380 mongoose brushless system, old traxxas servo and traxxas am radio and receiver. The body is just a generic tractor, not really modelled on any model or brand. So far I've got about 6 hours and maybe 50 bucks (not including original cost of reused parts) whats everyone think? |

Re: low buck tractor build
Very neat! I have at least two extra MRC's hanging on my shop wall. Might be a great use for one of them.

Re: low buck tractor build
ya, the mrc axle is the perfect width, and since the transmission is so compact it fits nicely under the hood

Re: low buck tractor build
yes, just 2wd, nice and simple, the mrc I had laying here had a trashed axle so it was the perfect use of the remaining one.
