Default A REALLY small RC tractor-trailer

I posted this in General Discussion forum under a probably too cryptic name, and it's gotten NO views yet. So let's try this again with a better description, give it a look.

1/150 scale RC tractor-trailer

This is a very brief build video of a 1/150 scale RC tractor-trailer. I believe the tractor is controlled via Blue-tooth, and the trailer has an IR connection to the tractor. The title of the other thread was "Watch making at a whole 'nuther level", which really describes what this guy did. Not many people can/will build their own micro-controller board by mounting a surface mount chip upside down on a piece of perf-board. And he added functioning lights, at this scale. Just the wire size alone is mind-boggling to me.

I particularly liked the 180 degree turn over a lap-top touch-pad at the end of the video.

How about a standing Golf clap ovation for this guy? He deserves it, whoever he is.

I later figured I may have made the title a little too cryptic. The General Discussion forum is for off topic stuff, watch making would definitely fit as OT.

Besides, the video is on topic for this forum. So I changed the title and duped it here. A moderator could blow the other thread away and it wouldn't hurt my feelings any.

That's some great skill!

You probably won't be impressed now since these channels build HUGE trucks at 1/87 scale...

I don't know about that, a working dump trailer in HO deserves some respect.

And kerst's 1/24 Liebherr impresses me, that thing's got a LOT goin' on in there.

I'd been wanting to get into something like 1/87 TableTopTrialTrucking for years, but luckily nobody i know of in into it, and i'm not close enough to anybody with a nice train layout to go play at their house.

Probably would mostly turn into building terrain dioramas to take to 1/14 meets just to show off a truck while not driving the "big" vehicles.

China company making parts to play tiny trucks like the Germans.

Any of the message boards i've found about HO-scale RC are in german, except TinyRC but i think it's been zombie dead for a long time. Probably either have to run through a site translator, or realize your deutch ist nicht sehr gut.

They probably wouldn't want to take the chance of you damaging their "scenery". Now maybe if you built a working street sweeper... You could pass it off as site maintenance, maybe even get an exclusive contract.

Haha,
I dunno, even the 1/16 scale Street Sweeper i found still doesn't have a ton of room for activities. Wouldn't want to try on that scale..

If you want to read the German web sites you might want to get the latest version of the Firefox browser. They now have translation capabilities built in. If you open a page with a foreign language a special symbol will appear in the address bar. Click on it, confirm the language selections and presto, the entire page is translated. I've tried it out on a couple of sites and it seems to work pretty well.
